September is Kids in Agriculture Month

Clark Fork Veterinary Clinic is excited to bring you Kids In Ag Events for the month of September! We are hosting many happenings throughout the month in Powell County.

  • September 12th we will be going to Garrison Elementary School to teach the students some agricultural things. We will have stations where the kids will learn about what it takes to make breakfast (pork, wheat, eggs and milk).

  • September 17th we are hosting 4-H night here at the clinic and will be having stations. Dr. Price will talk about “When to Call the Vet”, Dr. Nielsen will be playing a vaccination game and Bailee will be discussing animal housing.

  • September 19th we will be hosting the preschool children here at the clinic where we will give a tour.

  • September 19th is actual Teach Ag Day! We will be going to OD Speer and Granville Stuart Elementary where we will have the same stations we had for Garrison School.

  • We are also sponsoring an art contest for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. There are prizes for each category so we encourage all the kids to participate!

We fully believe in agriculture and want to promote that passion to the youth of our communities!

We have started doing fall herd work with our producers (pregnancy diagnosis, vaccinations, etc.). We are encouraging our producers to order vaccines and schedule their herd work in advance so we can accommodate everyone’s needs. Call us today with questions or to get on the schedule.
